For centuries these techniques have been associated with inferior women\u2019s work and not classified as fine arts. Only recently have they begun to receive the recognition and admiration they deserve, thanks to venturous artists like those gathered in our exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hovig would say: More power to them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These young artists are very proud and honored to exhibit their work next to one of the most important painters of Armenia: Hagop Hagopian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hagop Hagopian was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1923 as son of refugees who had fled Armenia during the Armenian genocide. He lived and studied in Cairo and Paris before returning with his family to his parents&#8217; homeland in 1962.
